With this knowledge Ashima have designed a range of pads that can be matched to both environment/riding style and budget. The range extends form the standard type entry level design right through to the top of the range 4functional pad.

The char t above compares wet braking performance against hand load for the various pad styles. Throughout testing the compound batch was kept constant and all products were tested on the same alloy rim. Note the thick lines are trend lines based on the experiment results which can be seen as dotted lines.
The graph clearly demonstrates the benefits of EBS pads over the traditional design and enforces the performance differences between the Standard, Advanced and Sport/Pro ranges. Note should be made that no significant improvement between the Sport and Pro models could be demonstrated. Unfortunately its not until you experience first hand out in the mud/crud can you feel the true performance benefits of the Pro features, but alas our test machine is that portable! |
